The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) announced the establishment of the HKUST Institute for Financial Research, with a mission to address the multi-faceted social and economic issues through financial research and technological innovation, in collaboration with the academia, industry practitioners and policymakers in Hong Kong and beyond.

Research Highlights

Our proposed research activities and programs will focus on tackling some of the most important challenges and opportunities in Hong Kong today. The institute has four interdisciplinary research clusters aligned with its four main research themes.
