Executive Director (Research) of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority

Mr Zhu is Executive Director (Research) of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management from Peking University, a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the Graduate School of People’s Bank of China and a PhD in Economics from Duke University. He has extensive experience in economic research, with expertise including policy research on macroeconomics and financial stability in the Mainland of China and Hong Kong. Currently, Mr. Zhu was a Managing Director, Chief China Economist and Head of Greater China Economic Research at J.P. Morgan. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, he was a Senior Economist at the Bank for International Settlements.
